Understand the basic principles of accounting, its importance in cooperative management, and recognize the main accounting elements (assets, liabilities, costs, expenses) and required books, in order to correctly interpret the financial information presented in council and assembly meetings.

International Financial Reporting Standards and Financial Statements (IFRS)

You'll learn:

Identify the structure and content of the Statement of Financial Position and the Statement of Comprehensive Income, as well as their connection to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), in order to interpret the economic and operational situation of the cooperative.

Financial Statements Part 2

You'll learn:

Analyze the content of the Statement of Changes in Equity, the Cash Flow Statement, and the Notes to the Financial Statements as key tools for evaluating the cooperative's liquidity, sustainability, and compliance with its obligations.

Apply basic financial analysis methods (vertical, horizontal, and financial ratios) to evaluate the financial health of the cooperative and generate observations grounded in supervisory reports.

The course Interpretation of Financial Statements runs for 9 hours spread across 2 weeks.

The course material will be available for download in the Virtual Classroom. In addition, in the Platform Resources section you can access various reading, reference and application resources.

Certificates are only granted to those who have satisfactorily completed all the activities of the modules that make up the course.

Participants must complete the assigned activities, attend the scheduled sessions to resolve questions, engage in community discussions or forums, and follow the established rules of conduct.

The scheduled office hours are calendared spaces where instructors or tutors are available to answer questions, receive projects, provide follow-up, and offer additional information or new courses to scholarship recipients.
